DPR Budget Committee Proposed Moving IDR 28 tn Education Reserve to Spending

The DPR Budget Committee proposed moving IDR 28 tn in education reserve funds from the investment financing post to the spending post in the 2027 state budget, as the funds would then be included in the calculation of the mandatory 20% education budget allocation. The proposal followed concerns that education funds placed under financing had not been realized in recent years, while 2025 education spending reached only 19.1% of total realized state expenditure. Indonesia Finance Ministry Proposed IDR 49.8 tn Budget for 2027 Programs

The Finance Ministry proposed an IDR 49.8 tn budget for five 2027 work programs, comprising IDR 42.34 tn in rupiah funding, IDR 102.15 tn from PNBP, and IDR 7.36 tn from BLU. The programs cover fiscal, financial-sector and economic policy; state revenue management; state spending management; treasury, state assets and risk management; and management support, with key initiatives including customs and tax system integration, oil & gas PNBP optimization, Coretax implementation, Smart Customs and Excise System, and the Indonesia National Single Window.
