China Inflation Edged Up 0.1% MoM in Sep-25
China’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 0.1% MoM in Sep-25, slightly below the long-term average of 0.14% since 1996. The modest increase reflects subdued inflationary pressure, with prices stabilizing after previous months of volatility. China’s Producer Prices Fell 2.3% YoY in Sep-25, Easing From Prior Month
China’s Producer Price Index (PPI) declined 2.3% YoY in Sep-25, easing from a 2.9% drop in Aug-25 and marking the softest contraction since Feb25. The data, in line with market expectations, reflects ongoing supply-side adjustments and pre-Golden Week industrial activity. Slower declines were seen in mining (–9.0% vs –11.5%), raw materials (–2.9% vs –4.1%), and processing (–1.7% vs –2.2%), while consumer goods prices stayed weak (– 1.7%). Gov’t Issued Perpres No. 109/2025 on Waste-to-Energy Development The govt officially issued Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 109/2025 on Waste-to-Energy (WtE) projects, replacing Perpres No. 35/2018 to accelerate environmentally friendly waste-based power generation. The regulation designates waste as a renewable energy source for PLN and supports the national effort to cut urban waste piles while boosting electricity supply. The total WtE investment value reaches USD 5 bn (IDR 82.97 tn), with Danantara set to co-finance through Patriot Bond funds of IDR 50 tn and open tenders for eight projects in four major cities by end Oct-25. Solusi Sinergi Digital (WIFI) Won 1.4 GHz Frequency Auction for Regional I
WIFI, through its subsidiary PT Telemedia Komunikasi Pratama, won the govt’s 1.4 GHz Broadband Wireless Access auction for Regional I—which includes Java, Papua, and Maluku—with a bid of IDR 403.76 bn. Meanwhile, PT Eka Mas Republik, a unit of DSSA Group, secured Regional II and III with bids of IDR 300.88 bn and IDR 100.88 bn, respectively.
