MSCI Revised Extreme Price Increase (EPI) Screening Methodology

MSCI confirmed changes to its Extreme Price Increase (EPI) screening methodology, effective from the Aug-26 Index Review. Under the revised rules, EPI-flagged stocks with a Foreign Inclusion Factor (FIF) ≥0.75 will remain eligible for MSCI Standard Index inclusion if they satisfy all other criteria. Meanwhile, EPI-flagged stocks with FIF <0.75 will continue to face inclusion restrictions, with eligible non-constituents deferred to the next review and certain Small Cap constituents potentially removed instead of being promoted to the Standard Index if they exceed specified size thresholds.
